Adding a Planting Site to your Tree Map

You must be logged in to OpenTreeMap to add a planting site. Once you are logged in, click "Add a Tree" in the upper right corner of your map. Enter the planting site address and click "Next" in the lower right corner.

You will be prompted to enter species information. Since this is a planting site that does not contain a tree at this time or a site where you do not have any additional information, simply click "Next" and your site will register as an Empty Planting Site. Click "Done" to save.

Planting Sites include proposed locations for a tree site, an existing site with no tree, or a tree for which there is no species information. Tracking these three different types of planting sites is critical to identifying and prioritizing the best areas for planting.
