Understanding Default User Roles

All Tree Maps start with three default User Roles: public, editor, and administrator

public: New users are automatically assigned this User Role. Users in this role only have Full Write Access permissions for the Stewardship field on Trees. All other fields are Read Only.

editor: Users assigned to this User Role have Full Write Access permissions for all fields on Trees and Planting Sites.

administrator: Users assigned to this User Role have Full Write Access permissions for all fields on Trees and Planting Sites.

The permissions described above are the default permissions each Tree Map starts with. To edit the permissions for the public, editor, and administrator role, select "Manage" from the navigation bar at the top. Then click on "Roles" in the Administration menu on the left. Please note, that in order to users who wish to have management access must check the "Management Access" box as well.
